It hurts to lose any loved one. However, losing a maternal figure can be especially difficult.
With a heavy heart, we share that our beloved mother Subhadra Desai passed away on Thursday January 25th, 2024 at age 84 after a life of humble, generous service to all around her.
Subhadra was born June 30th, 1939 – the daughter of Hiralal Sura and Tara Bhen Sura.
As the only daughter among five children, she was considered a blessing to her family who were so excited to have her.
At 21, she wedded Ramesh Desai and the pair enjoyed 62 years of marriage.
Subhadra is survived by her three children, and even more great-grandchildren. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children, showing sincere qualities such as generosity, kindness, and a joy in nurturing.
In addition to her own valued family members, Subhadra always made time for everyone. She provided support and love for her family and friends. No one left her home hungry, in neither belly nor heart.
