Ruth Ann Peters

It is with great sadness in our hearts that the family of Ruth Ann Peters, announce her passing on 8 September 2020. Ruth Ann, or Ray as she was known by many of her friends, was born on 29 May 1972.
Ruth Ann is survived by her father, Alton Kiernan of Nebraska, mother, Jo Lee Jacobs of Montana, brother, MSgt John Kiernan (ret) of Texas, and daughter Shaylee of Michigan.
Ruth Ann was always very energetic and passionate about helping others. She worked primarily in the motorcycle industry in both sales, and the customization of Harley Davidson’s. She loved the outdoors to include hunting and fishing which was instilled upon her from an early age growing up on ranches in Western Nebraska and Eastern Colorado.
Her outgoing personality and passion for the US military and law enforcement/first responders led to her to volunteering a great deal of time and energy both in fund-raising activities as well as serving as a veteran advocate.
At the request of the family, there will be no formal funeral service, however, to honor Ruth Ann’s legacy and commitment to the military, law enforcement and first responders we would ask that in lieu of flowers that donations can be made under her name (Ruth Ann or Ray Peters) at https://tunnel2towers.org.
