Phillip “Robin” Alan Wolverton, 72, passed peacefully in the company of family Monday, May 24th, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Clinton Township, Michigan from his battle with cancer. He was born in Mountain Home, Idaho on February 9, 1949. He was the son of Ronald and Elizabeth (Krol) Wolverton who preceded him in death. He was married to Paphitchaya Wolverton who currently resides in Thailand. Survivors include two children from his first wife (Donna), Kerri (Dan) Bennett of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jason (Amy) Wolverton of Poquoson, VA. Four grandchildren, Hannah Wolverton, Rebecca Wolverton, Isabella Wolverton, and Phillip Bennett. Four brothers, Barry “Rick” (Maureen) Wolverton, Stephen “Sandy” (Brenda) Wolverton, David “Dave” (Debbie) Wolverton, and Robert “Bob” Wolverton. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Don “Butch” (Marlene) Wolverton.
He retired from General Dynamics. He worked in the Warren, Michigan Plant, Lima, Ohio Plant, and Cairo, Egypt Plant. He enjoyed working on cars and was an avid “Do It Yourselfer.” Memorial services will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
