Donald Vernon White, age 70 , of Warren, MI passed away April 3rd, 2020 from complications related to COVID-19. He was born October 14, 1949 in Detroit MI.
Donald grew up and lived in the suburbs of Detroit most of his life. He graduated from Utica High School and like most children of the 50’s and 60’s he loved motorcycles and fast cars. He was a self-employed businessman the majority of his working career. Don was all about sports – he relished the competitiveness. From family pick-up basketball games in the driveway to spending hours on the golf course competing with his father Vernon White and playing cards late night with little brother Michael.
He was proud of all his children. Later in life he loved mentoring and watching his son Austin play high school baseball and football. He had a keen sense of humor and loved to tease those closest to him- that’s how he showed he cared.
He is survived by his mother Joanne White, sisters- Lynn White, Dawn D’Elia, Samantha Webb and brother- Michael White. Five children; Kimberly Miller, Lance White, Noel White, Shayna Flaherty and Austin Flaherty and five grandchildren. He will also be dearly missed by Dawn Marie, Smokey and Aaron.
Due to current travel restrictions, a family gathering is planned for some time later this summer or fall to celebrate his life.

I’m so grateful and honored to have met such a wonderful man and to call “Dad” for all these year’s. I’ll keep your memory alive with your grandson, Evan. I wish we visited sooner, so you two could have met. You’ll be truly missed.
