Charles Rupers

Rupers, Charles ‘Charlie’ Joseph, age 67, died on Monday, March 9, 2016, at his home in Macomb, Michigan after a battle with Agent Orange related cancers. Charlie was born on February 10, 1949 to Albert Earl Rupers and Lucille (DeBonnville) Rupers. He graduated from Mt. Clemens High School after attending St. Mary’s High School. He was inducted into the Army on April 8, 1968, he served in Vietnam as a medic and was awarded many decorations, medals, badges, commendations, citations and campaign ribbons. He worked various jobs throughout his career, but most of his time was spent working in the computer field. Charlie enjoyed playing golf, riding his bike, spending time outdoors fishing and bird hunting, reading and spending his time with family and friends. He also loved to tell bad jokes, he loved to make people laugh. He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne (Fox), his stepson Jeffery S. Rose (Angela), grandchildren Ashley Nicole and Derek Scott, great-grandchildren Andrea Faith and Andrew Joel. He is also survived his sisters Mary Kay (Michael) Williams and Teresa (Gary) Bossow along with many nieces and nephews and good friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ronald Rupers and sister Diane Welninski. A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held April 23, 2016 at the Rec Bowl, 40 Crocker Blvd. Mt. Clemens, Michigan from 1pm to 5pm
