Carole Eve Star, a lifelong resident of Detroit, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2020. She was 76 years old. Carole was an only child born to her parents Peter and Emily (Partyka) Jackewicz on November 23, 1943.
She is survived by her son Michael Alan Star and her daughter Kathryn Star; and one grandchild William Dinkfelt.
She is preceded in death by her parents Peter and Emily Jackewicz; and her husband Michael Star.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetary.

In all the years I’ve known Carole, I never heard her complain about her
situation (other than the bad food)! She always had a kind heart and a pretty
good sense of humor. She took a lot of pride in her family, her old dog Tippy, caring for her plants, and coloring the MANY picture books people would give her. I’m sure she’s watching us from Heaven.
