Bruce Alan Crawford (74) of Washington Township, loving father and husband passed away on November 18th, 2023 surrounded by his family. Bruce was born in 1949 to Robert and Lois Jean Crawford in Detroit, Michigan. He served in the United States Army and was recognized as a M14 & M16 Sharpshooter and awarded a National Defense Service Medal. Bruce had a long career as a Quality Assurance Specialist in Foreign Military Sales for the Department of Defense (TACOM) until his retirement.
Bruce’s career took him to faraway places where he had unforgettable experiences and met many people. He rode camels near the Great Pyramid of Giza and was certified for scuba diving in the Red Sea. When he wasn’t sharing stories of his travels he enjoyed riding Harley Davidsons, working on his trucks and a frosted mug filled with his favorite beer. He shared a bond with his son over all things hockey and instilled a love for adventure in his daughter. He and his wife enjoyed traveling often to visit their children who live in California and caring for their family dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Janice, daughter and son-in-law Stacey Crawford and Ryan Jensen, and son, Justin Crawford. He will be deeply missed.
Bruce’s family will be having a private celebration of his life.
