Jonathan Carl Hurd a life-long resident of Michigan died unexpectedly on January 13, 2022 at the age of 33. Jonathan passed peacefully in his home.
Jonathan is survived by his mother; Monica Chandler, sister; Krystle Gearhart, children: Lilly, Brooklyn and Carter. Jonathan is also survived by his grandfathers; John Bozek and Don DiPaola, 3 nieces (Anastasia, Serena, Aaliyah), 3 nephews (Jaxon, Greyson & Harrison) and several aunts and uncles.
Jonathan is preceded in death by his father; John Hurd, his best friend and sister; Shelley Ann Hurd, beloved grandmother; Nancy Bozek and paternal grandparents; Helen and Carl Hurd.
Jonathan was born on July 17, 1988 even as a child he was a very strong-willed and ambitious person. There was never an obstacle that he wasn’t able to overcome. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his children. His second love was his families’ business which consisted of trucking and operating heavy machinery, which he made sure all of his children were able to enjoy alongside him.
After suffering from addiction for many years, he was able to overcome one of the hardest obstacles of his life by remaining sober for 2 years. Jonathan continued his path and didn’t forget about those who still needed help with sobriety. He helped his friends begin their paths; he wanted everyone to “live their best sober lives” as he was. He will be greatly missed by so many and the impact that he had on other’s lives will be forever lasting.
Funeral services will be private. Jonathan’s family may hold a memorial service at a later date.
