It is with heavy hearts the family of Thomas Roland Stroup announce his passing. Thomas was born November 25th, 1938 and went to his eternal home on March 9th, 2018. He was 79. Tom was born in Mount Clemens and lived there for 63 years before retiring to his dream home in Hersey, Michigan, where he lived out a peaceful retirement with his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara, whom he married August 6th, 1960.
In his hay day, Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling.
Tom is survived by his children, son Thomas, Jr. and daughter in law, Kathy, daughter Kathryn, and daughter Carolyn and son in law Keith. Also, grandchildren, Andrew, Brett and Samantha, and Adam and Elizabeth McCumber. Great grandchildren, Justin, Lucas, and Remy. A brother, William Stroup. Tom was predeceased by his beautiful, loving, and deeply missed wife of 56 years, Barbara Elaine Stroup. “Dad, Papa, G-pa, we saw your pain, and we knew you could no longer stay here with us. Your heart was in pain and your body was longing for the rest only our savior Jesus could give you … guiding you home and into the arms of the love of your life. We love you, and we know you are finally home, happy and pain free.”
