Roger Dale Walker passed away peacefully in Washington Twp, MI on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the age of 68.
Roger was born to parents WIlliam and Elsie Walker on May 30, 1950 in Yreka California. He was the youngest of three children. He is survived by his sister Carol Schleicher and her husband, Harry, of Phoenix, Arizona and by his brother James Walker and his wife, Margaret, of Pie Town, New Mexico.
Roger spent most of life in the southwest part of New Mexico in the Silver City area. He attended high school at Cobre High School in Bayard New Mexico. He was drafted into the U. S. Army and was a veteran from the Vietnam era. He loved the outdoors and had a passion for raising horses.
Roger is survived by his 6 children Kenneth Scott of Midwest City OK, Theresa (Kenneth) from Pampa, TX, Lolita (Eliud) from Washington Twp, Raymond (Genevieve) from Sand Springs, Ok, Roy (Lety) from Washington Twp, Brenda from Washington Twp. Roger will also be fondly remembered and loved by his eighteen grandchildren Leanza (Marcelo), Vanessa, Carly, Raymond, Angelica, Gabrielle, Ryan, Hunter, Isabelle, Alexis, Sophia, Nathaniel, Isaac, Celeste, Paulina, Reyna, Carmen (Vance), Kendall and one great granddaughter Alexandria. Roger is preceded in death by his parents William and Elsie Walker.
A funeral service in memory of Roger will be held on Tuesday, August 7th at 2:00 p.m., at the Gramer Funeral Home, 48271 Van Dyke, Shelby, MI.
