Maurice Robert Jakey
November 22, 1947 – June 1, 2017
Maurice (better known as Bob) passed away on June 1, 2017 at the age of 69. Dear husband of Joyce (Charland) Jakey and step father to Brianscotte and Jason Brooks and Ronnelle (Charles III) Beinenstein and grandfather to Charles Beinenstein IV. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Shirley Jakey. He is survived by brothers John (Joann), Myron (Susan), Philip (Dolores), Nate (Paula), and sisters Sharon Smith, Ida (Brian) Posytan, Debbie McGriff, Maxine Jakey and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, Aunt Ruth Debuzzy, Uncle Phil McPartlin and many cousins.
Bob was proud to have been an Army Paratrooper in the Viet Nam War. He was a life member of AMVETS Post 52 and Lempke-Blackwell VFW Post 7573 where he was Commander three times, both are located in New Baltimore, MI.
Bob retired from Selfridge Air National Guard Base in 2010 after 13 years of service as a heavy equipment operator.
