Dorothy Quinn (Casement) passed away peacefully on July 13, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dorothy was born in Hamilton, Scotland on April 9, 1933 to the parents of Eleanor and William Casement. She was the youngest of 10 children and the only one in her immediate family to leave Scotland for America, at the young age of 19. In 1953, she arrived in Pana, Illinois but eventually settled in Michigan, where she met the love of her life.
Dorothy was married to John Quinn for 53 memorable years and raised 4 children: Maureen (Pete) Basile, Linda (Lawrence) McCombs, Brian (Susan), Joan (Robert) Stein and was a devoted grandmother to her 10 grandchildren: Robert Jr, Brian Jr, Sean, Rachel, Jacob, Kyle, Katie, Kent, Megan and Ryan. Her family was her pride and joy. Dorothy cherished every family event and was known for capturing all the memories with her camera and beautiful scrapbooks.
Dorothy’s life will be celebrated with a memorial mass to be arranged.
